PHR Center for Electrolysis was founded in 1998.  After much research, Tarrytown was selected to
be the home of PHR.

Lori J. Arena, a graduate of LaSalle University spent over 13 years in corporate America.  Not being fulfilled in her role as a purchasing director lead to the soul searching question of "How can I make a difference in someone's life, earn a living and be content all at once?"

The journey began in September of 1997 when she enrolled in the New York Institute for Electrolysis School in NYC.  Graduating at the top of her class, she sat for the International Board of Electrologist Certification exam the following February.  Lori was granted her C.P.E. status and in June of that year attained her life long dream of starting a business.  Sheer determination lead to a five year goal and in 2003, PHR Center for Electrolysis became incorporated.

Lori proudly served as the Vice President of Membership for her professional organization, the New York Electrology Association from 2005-2007.  She also created and implemented the Consumer Awareness Initiative for the NYEA and served as chairperson from June 2006 to March 2008.  She received her Competent Toastmaster Award in May 2005 from the Sleepy Hollow Toastmasters organization.  Lori has made several presentations educating the public on Electrolysis and is a paid speaker for the American Electrology Association.

A Westchester resident for the past twenty three years, Lori enjoys all the beauty the Hudson Valley has to offer.  Her favorite pastime is being with her husband, Mario and Francine, their "four-legged daughter".  Her preferred activities include hiking, biking, and kayaking.
